Title Guide:
CFA:
Champion/Premier
Need 6 winners ribbons
CFA Grand (need 200 Grand points).
In CFA, a Champion/Premier only receives points for beating other Champions/Premiers and does not receive points for beating an Open (untitled cat). No Grand points are counted for Best of Breed, Best of Color, Best of Division, etc. only for Best Champion of the breed (IF there are other Siberian champions being show and often their are not) and for finals. CFA Grand titles are very challenging to earn especially for a breed like Siberians that have only been accepted in Championship for 3 years and in many regions, there are few Siberians being shown in CFA. My region, the Southwest, is an exception with a strong representation.
TICA:
Champion/Premier:
300 points and 1 final: Points are awarded for Best color, Best of Division and so on.
Grand Champion:
1000 points and 6 finals
Double Grand Champion:
1000 more than GC and 1 additional top 10 allbreed or top 5 Longhair final.
Triple Grand Grand Champion:
1000 more points than DGC and 1 additional top 10 AB or top 5 LH final
Quadruple Grand Champion:
1000 more points than TGC and 1 additional top 10 AB or top 5 LH final
Supreme Grand Champion:
2000 more points than QGC and must earn a Best Cat final in either AB or LH.
Challenges:
CFA - As a minority breed, it is challenging to get any finals. In some regions, judges never see the breed or only see a few examples that for them now represent the breed for better or worse. Also, only earning points for beating other Champions, no points for best of color, best male or female, etc. this means the points can be very slow coming.
TICA - Earning that Best Cat is a toughy. Expect to be a regular face in the crowd and show plenty so the judges get to know your cat. Siberians have been in TICA the longest of any US organization and they are more experienced wtih the breed. However, that means more competition within the breed.
