Buyer Agrees to the following:
1. Buyer will have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receipt.
2. If any other household pets are present, buyer agrees to isolate kitten/cat from other pets until veterinarian appointment is conducted.
3. Buyer agrees not to have kitten/cat de-clawed. Buyer understands that de-clawing the kitten may alter the kitten’s temperament and coordination.
4. Buyer agrees to advise Breeder of results of annual veterinary exam. This is strictly for tracking purposes to ensure breeding lines are healthy.
5. Buyer agrees to advise Breeder if cat dies prior to age 7 without identified causes of illness. Breeder shall be given the option to pay for a necropsy to determine if genetic illness was cause. Again, this is for tracking purposes to ensure the chances of genetic illness are kept to a minimum.
Food/Shelter
6. Buyer agrees not to allow kitten/cat outdoors unsupervised unless in a secure enclosure or on a lead.
7. Buyer agrees to provide a safe and loving home with high quality food, prompt veterinary care and sanitary living conditions.
8. Buyer agrees not to cage kitten/cat other than what is necessary for isolation due to illness.
9. Buyer agrees not to turn cat/kitten over to any shelter, lab, testing facility or rescue. Should re-homing be necessary Buyer MUST notify Breeder and Breeder must be allowed the right to re-claim kitten for a purchase price of $1. However, breeder will work with buyer to find a mutually agreeable home and any proceeds will belong to the Buyer.
Miscellaneous
10. Buyer understands that the Breeder makes no guarantees as to any hypo-allergenic qualities of kitten/cat.
11. If Buyer changes his/her mind prior to receipt of kitten, Buyer understands the $300 deposit will be forfeited.
12. When a kitten is placed unaltered buyer agrees not to breed. Registration papers will be held. Kitten must be altered by 6 months of age at the latest under these circumstances.
13. If kitten/cat is purchased as a pet, Buyer agrees not to Show kitten/cat.
Breeder
1. Guarantees that kitten/cat is free of FIV/FeLV at time of purchase
2. Breeder guarantees kitten/cat has been found physically sound at time of purchase.
3. Kitten was examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to placement and found to be physically sound.
4. Breeder guarantees kitten/cat to be healthy and sound for period of 5 days following receipt of kitten/cat. Should kitten be found to be untreatable or terminally ill during this time breeder agrees to take back kitten (does not include transportation costs) and provide a replacement kitten of like quality within 8 months.
5. Breeder provides a limited genetic guarantee. Should kitten or cat die from HCM or PKD by age 3, breeder will provide a kitten of like quality within 8 months. Monetary refunds are not provided. Written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian is required.
6. Breeder provides a 5 day satisfaction guarantee. If Buyer is not happy with kitten/cat for any reason, Breeder agrees to accept kitten back. Breeder will refund cost of kitten/cat less the $300 deposit and refund will NOT include any transportation costs.
7. Breeder agrees to provide either CFA/TICA registration by kittens 6th month birthday unless delayed due to foreign registration of parents.
8. If kitten/cat is shipped, Breeders responsibility for kitten’s safety ends upon turning kitten over to airlines or shipping representative.
9 . Breeder makes no other guarantees or representations as to the health or quality of kitten/cat beyond what is set forth by contract nor does Breeder assume any other financial obligations to the Buyer. (means: other than what is indicated in the contract all vet bills are the buyers obligation).
