Prekrasne Siberian Cats:

Beauty is more than skin deep

Adopting a Prekrasne Siberian Kitten

See our Contract – Please read before joining our Waiting List.  It is important to understand your commitments when adopting a Siberian and our commitments to you and our cats.

If you are considering adopting a Prekrasne Siberian this is the best to start.  We do maintain a waiting list as this is the best practice to ensure our kittens are placed early and with the best possible homes.  Early placement ensures we have a chance to really get to know the future families and determine the best fit.  We don’t believe adopting a kitten should be like calling to order a pizza.  This is going to (hopefully) be a 15+ year relationship so we believe that pre-screening is just one step and getting to know the future family is ongoing over the course of the months or weeks that you are waiting for your furry family member.

Waiting List

Pricing:   Pet kittens range from $850 - $1000 although most are $850.

You save $200 when adopting 2 of our kittens (even if you adopt the 2nd later)

              Show alters range from $1000 - $1200

Pets and Show alters are spayed or neutered prior to placement and this is included in the adoption price.

We make exceptions if there is a need based on vet advice (e.g. if a kitten is smaller and needs longer to develop).

We place kittens for breeding only in traditional breeding programs and subject to restrictions.

The first step is joining the waiting list by completing our Kitten Match form.  Once you have completed this form and been contacted by me, we do require a $50 waiting list fee to be paid by PayPal (plus a .75 PayPal fee which we split 50/50 with you).  We do keep a record of all people on our waiting list and kittens will be presented to them in order.  See the "Pay Now" button below - just click and you'll be directed to PayPal.  If for any reason we do not approve you for our Waiting List your fee will be promptly returned.

We also allow the option to just belong to our General Notification List.  There is no fee for this but kittens will only be presented once our Breeding/Show homes and Waiting List have been allowed to choose.  However, the Kitten Match form is still required.

Options:

Breeding/Show Homes:  Receive 1st choice (after me of course) of breeding/show quality kittens (we limit the number per litter for breeding).

Prekrasne Official Waiting List:  Requires $50 non-refundable deposit.  Receive first notification of all pet kittens and remaining breeding/show quality kittens.  Notification is in order of placement on the list.  This is first come, first serve.  Recommended for those who are committed to adopting a Prekrasne Siberian.

General Notification List:  Once our breeding/show homes and Official Waiting List have had their choice the General Notification List will be advised of any remaining kittens.  Again, this is first come, first serve.

Finally, kittens are made available on our Kitten page.  This does happen sometimes as not everyone is looking for the same colors, genders, and others are looking for kittens from specific parents.

**We do reserve the right to decline at any time if we feel someone is not the best match for a Siberian.  Sometimes this is simply a matter of timing - perhaps a person is in the middle of a move, in school, etc.  Our goal is to find the best permanent, loving homes for our kittens so we screen all applicants and will typically ask follow up questions once this initial form is submitted.

The Kittens are Born

Once the kittens are born there are a few things to be done.  First, we don’t immediately make our kittens available to our waiting list.  We first wait roughly 2-3 weeks.  This allows us to evaluate the quality, gender, health and development of the kittens.  As with all breeders I retain the right of first choice in all litters.  This means I can select a kitten to keep for my own breeding program.  Once I determine if I will keep a kitten I then present the kittens to our breeding and show homes.  Keep in mind I limit the number of kittens I place into breeding homes and have specific criteria for those that do adopt a kitten for breeding.  Once these first kittens are presented the remaining kittens are presented to our waiting list.  Of course not all kittens will be breeding or show quality either so those that are pet quality can be presented immediately.  This doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the kittens just that they don’t meet the exact highest breed standard.

Picking out the Kitten

Once you've picked out that special kitten you now move on to actually adopting him or her.  To reserve your special kitten we require a $300 deposit with the balance due, including any transportation costs, before the kitten is 12 weeks old.  Your kitten will not be reserved until the deposit is received.  Also, keep in mind, if you change your mind you will forfeit the $300 deposit as it is NON-REFUNDABLE.  However, if we at Prekrasne determine a particular kitten is not the best fit for a family we will refund the full amount.

If you have picked your kitten, filled out your form and been approved you can click the button below to pay the deposit to reserve your kitten.
